Tobacco wastewater treatment
This factory in Fujian Province is one of the earliest reconstituted tobacco plants in China.
It discharged 30 m3/d of high concentration wastewater with COD 150,000 mg/L, plus low concentration wastewater of 1,470 m3/d with COD 2,000 mg/L.
When mixed together, the total wastewater is 1,500 m3/d, with influent COD 5,200 mg/L. After anaerobic reactor treatment, COD is reduced to 1,000~1,255 mg/L. Removal rate is between 75~80%.
